Instigator is an R&B, rock, and blues powerhouse that takes harmony to a whole new level. With four of the five members graduating in the class of ’81 near Tullahoma, TN, you can hear the chemistry come alive onstage with three lead vocalists who double on rhythm and lead guitar, backed by a fantastic rhythm section. When you are raised up drinking the same water that fuels Jack Daniel’s AND George Dickel, how could you not have rock-n-roll down deep in your bones.
The fifth member hails from the Detroit area and brings all of that sass, soul and swagger from the land that birthed Motown, Bob Seger, Glenn Frey and the classic American muscle car. Throw in some keyboard, mandolin, sax, flute, sprinkle in some harmonica, & stir it all up with some sweltering slide guitar… and you’ll be served up a funky rock-n-soul stew that’ll have you on the floor and shoutin’ for more!
From Wicked Wilson Pickett to the Commodores, Aerosmith to ZZ Top, Blackberry Smoke to Badfinger, there’s not much these guys can’t cover. When the ballads and blues get you on your dancing shoes, you’ll be glad you came along for the ride.
